Lakes, rope-swings and waterfalls!
Days off of the bike are pretty important on a Peak Leaders mountain bike course, you need to give your muscles time to rest and recover. Especially with the amount of vertical that the Whistler bike park dishes out. We also like a few down days each course to fit in the multitude of other activities here in Whistler over the summer.
A few of the guys had a cruisey day off and spent the day in a beautiful area 15 minutes south of Whistler, at Logger’s Lake and Brandywine Falls. There are some seriously ‘beefy’ rope swings and a precarious looking, and feeling, tree-jump to take on. The guys also found a huge old tree, somehow floating vertically just under the water.
Further down the road, a suspension bridge over the river gave everybody a bird’s-eye-view of some pretty crazy kayaking. Once we’d watched the kayaking for a little while we headed-on down the road a little further to Brandywine Falls, which is an amazing waterfall that had to be checked out too.
Here’s a couple of the videos and photos.
