Qualifications & Certs
The Austrian Ski Instructor Level 1 is equivalent to the BASI Level 1. Other qualifications and certificates offered are the Avalanche Awareness, First Aid, SNSC, and ILM. These will give any resume a boost, and put you a head above in many positions.
The Mountain
St. Anton is widely regarded as the leading ski resort destination in Austria. It has an outstanding provision of advanced skiing, a reliable snow record and an extensive ski area that caters for a mixed level of abilities. The Arlberg is in the western province of Austria and the first snow sweep the high passes of this region in the early Autumn. The magic of the area is due in no small part to the warmth and hospitality of the locals who have managed to preserve their identity and traditions. St Anton is a cosmopolitan village with Tyrolean charm and is a meeting point for young winter sports enthusiasts from all over the world.

The Town & Apres Ski
The club and bar scene in St Anton is very lively, and less expensive than some of the other European ski resorts. Popular spots (the ‘in’ places!)are the Krazy Kangaroo Bar on the mountainside, and the Moosewirt Bar, which are both usually packed with skiers and snowboarders after a day on the slopes. Bobo’s in the town centre plays rock and hip-hop into the early hours. There is a good variety of bars and clubs with plenty of more chilled and sophistacted bars in the hotels. (The night is long at the numerous other discos and clubs, but for those seeking something more sedate there are plenty of quieter, sophisticated bars in the hotels.)
