Well its been a couple of days since the course has offcially finished. The last day of training turned it on for us, with a nice powder day to wrap things up.

Some of the guys and girls are still in town, and setting themselves up for the season, and some have gone back home.

Everyone was awesome, and it been a pleasure.

Everyone passed!

Everyone is probably stoked and relieved in equal measures that the exams are done and dusted, and everyone got through them. Time to chill out, and have a suitably big night out or two.

Well done everyone!

Freestyle was the flavour of this week and the crew have been getting into sliding boxes and hitting the jumps on Blackcomb.

As with all aspects of freestyle, a few good slams along the way is a small price to pay for the fun!

We’ve had a full week of training and a busy weekend! Some of us have taken an Emergency First Aid (EFA) course on Saturday to gain some amazing knowledge and ex-perience (and meet Dan Treadway which was a huge plus!)
Last night we began our Avalanche Awareness course with a great lecture from our guide Jeff. Today we spent the morning getting into some fun exercises which helping us to learn how to use transceivers. We had lunch in the Roundhouse and then were in an avalanche scenario set up by the guide where we had to find and rescue buried "victims". Al in all a really productive week and still working towards our Level One.

I just wanted to say thanks again for looking after David so well on the Canada trip. Peak Leaders made us feel so welcome. I feel David got a lot out of the trip - it has achieved all I, as a mother, hoped it would, thank you all so much. You have given a young man the confidence to push forward in life, thank you.
