ACCOMMODATION AND FOOD
This is stand-out aspect of this course!
Why settle for anything less? We stay in a 3 star hotel and include Breakfast and dinner 7 days. There's a bar, restaurant, gym, internet, tuning room and bowling alley in your home away from home for the season!!

At Queenstown we do not use hostel or self catering accommodation, meaning you can concentrate on the course, and are free of the hassle of groceries (supermarket shopping is expensive in QT) and shared-kitchen cooking at the end of the day. This is why we believe our course offers the best value for money!
Breakfast is buffet-style, with hot stuff, fruit salad, cereals, toast and fruit juices! - just what you need for the intense training on the hill. Dinner is a pre chosen dish of the day, or Asian Buffet. The meals are two courses and are of a very high standard.
You stay in the superb Coronet Peak Hotel – closest hotel to New Zealand's premier ski-field, Coronet Peak and within easy driving distance of The Remarkables. The short 10 minute drive from Queenstown’s town centre is covered by hourly free shuttles. Rooms are 3 person and have en-suite bathrooms with bath and shower, tea and coffee making facilities, refrigerator, radio and colour TV with Sky. We also hang out in the bar, the restaurant, the spa, the bowling alley and an area affectionately know as "couches".
The hotel has wireless facilities, and plug-in wireless in your room! This is payable at the hotel for a very modest fee.
The tuning room has been especially installed for Peak Leaders and the course leader will show you all aspects of sharpening, waxing and repairing you gear. It’s there to use anytime- to keep your kit "sweet as" as the kiwis say.
The course leader lives in the hotel and so can help you out with anything you need (and give you a score to try to beat in the bowling alley).
The hotel and its facilities make this course stand out!!
THE RESORT
Coronet Peak and The Remarkables are incredible resorts, each with their own special unique aspects. Both offer amazing skiing and boarding. Imagine being able to go to these resorts every day!
MOUNTAINS NEW ZEALAND
Peak Leaders partner with the NZ Snow Academy using Coronet Peak for the majority of the training along with many trips to The Remarkables. Both mountains are owned by the same company and use the same lift pass. Coronet Peak is renowned for some of the best, most consistent and varied terrain in Australasia. It hosts the FIS Southern Cup (ski slalom & giant slalom) and is the choice of the NZ national race team for training. There are two terrain parks: one with loads of different rails, boxes and jumps, and one with several smaller jumps and a halfpipe. Even when the sun goes down the action never stops; night Skiing (exclusive to Coronet Peak) allows skiers and riders to continue into the night.
The Remarkables offers both exciting freeride faces and chutes and (new in 2007) a multi-million dollar investment to upgrade their terrain park by building a superpipe, big and small jumps a wall ride and a wide range of rails and boxes. They also host The Stash at The Remarkables which is only the third run of its kind worldwide and the first in the Southern Hemisphere.
Created by Jake Burton and the Burton team riders, The Stash is an evolution of freestyle terrain in the ultimate natural environment. The kilometer long run provides riders with an organic, big mountain terrain park that follows the natural lines of the mountain.
Both mountains are well known for their infra-structure and professionalism. On Coronet Peak and the Remarkables we are hosted by NZSKI, the biggest mountain resort operator in NZ. Peak Leaders is delighted to be working with this top company and their world class instructors and facilities.
You are provided with a full season pass to both resorts!
There is an option to take trip to Snow Park where we'll spend a few days, one of the world's best ski and snowboard terrain parks, you might end up sharing a lift with Mikkel Bang, Danny Davis or Tanner Hall. A trip to New Zealand isn't complete if you've not been to Snow Park.
Heli-Trip Option
Heli-skiing (or boarding!) is definitely one of the most amazing experiences you can ever have. Get lifts up to the top, and ride back down, then do it again!
The most common comment after a days heli-skiing is " I don't know what was better, the ride down the mountain, or up in the chopper!" This combo of flying in a helicopter and accessing New Zealand’s best backcountry slopes makes the heli skiing a day to remember. If you opt to give it a go you will also get a lunch for a king, set on an ice-table. A cold beer is recommended back at the hotel to reminisce.
Don't worry if you've never skied/ridden in powder. You will have improved by the time we go, and there are also always easy terrain options that won't be a problem for anyone. Amazing!

SNOW PARK NZ
After the exams are done and dusted, you can opt to spend a couple of days at Snowpark! We'll get training for all levels of rider/skier, by the best freestyle coaches and pros around.
Snow Park is New Zealands' largest and most extensive terrain park. It has features to suit all levels and abilities. By the time you get to the later part of the course you should be a much stronger skier or rider, and ready to have some freestyle fun with the confidence and skills you've gained.
The freestyle coaches at Snow Park are the best at what they do, and will show you the basics of freestyle, park ettiquette and safety.
Snowpark is dedicated purely to freestyle, and you'll find Jumps, rails, and a worldclass superpipe, all for your enjoyment.
QUEENSTOWN - THE "ADVENTURE CAPITAL OF THE WORLD"
Queenstown is where the action is in New Zealand! Winter in Queenstown is one long party that kicks off with the opening of Coronet Peak ski resort. Queenstown is the "adventure capital of the world": you can bungee jump, heli-ski, sky-dive, luge, horse-ride, ice-skate, jet boat - and of course ski and ride till you drop! The list goes on and on. We'll organise these optional extras with you so you can take advantage of these once in a lifetime opportunities.

We didn't choose a small clubfield with limited activities to do - you might only come to New Zealand once, so we wanted you to be at the heart of the action! Queenstown is extremely popular with backpackers resulting in plenty bars, restaurants, cafes, shops and clubs. The crew often becomes regulars in many of the bars, and you could almost say, locals.

In September, The Remarkables Spring Festival is a riot of snow sports and crazy events. The Queenstown Big Air is always a good night. Another highlight is the annual Birdman competition; Involving people throwing themselves off Queenstown Pier, dressed up and in the most ridiculous contraptions you can imagine all in the name of a laugh.
