Resettlement Courses for MoD Leavers

If you are leaving the military and are looking to retrain as a snowsports instructor or MTB or surf instructor, you have come to the right company. We are a Preferred Training Supplier to the Career Transition Partnership. The CTP partnership between the MOD and Right Management provides resettlement services to those leaving the UK Armed Forces. Peak Leaders is accredited with ELCAS. We are one of the few enhanced learning credits providers able to deliver expert resettlement courses in ski, snowboard, mountain bike and surf instructor training, geared directly to employment in the Recreation business. As a Preferred Supplier to the MoD, Peak Leaders have been successfully working with service leavers for many years, delivering courses which met MOD requirements.  Using our extensive knowledge of the resettlement process we ensure that the service leaver gets the maximum possible training benefit and guidance into employment.

Advice for Service Leavers

Our dedicated staff specialise in developing  training programmes that cater for the Service Leavers needs.

Training is carried out in 4 week, 8 week, 10 or 12 week packages at in some of the world’s best resorts. Think biking the trails in Whistler in the summer and getting qualified to teach mountain biking, or exploring the epic backcountry around Banff whilst getting qualified as a snowboard instructor.  The resettlement package includes training, test fees, certification, first class accommodation and meals. We generally don’t include travel as it allows you to make your own plans and be more flexible, should you wish to arrive in resort early, or stay on afterwards to work.

How to Pick the Right Course For You

Once you  have decided that you want to do one of our ski instructor, snowboard instructor or mountain bike instructor courses as your Resettlement Course, the next step is to choose your course by either location or date. We have mountain bike camps in Whistler. Our Hiring Camp in May leads to jobs as MTB Guides in the Bike Park, providing you pass the IDP exam and have a working holiday visa or equivalent.

Our Ski Instructor Course in Austria is pre season and 4 weeks long in St. Anton. If you have conversational German, this is a fantastic option, as on passing the ski instructor exam it leads to full time employment as a ski instructor for the whole season in St. Anton, which acccommodation included.
