The Course

Welcome to Verbier! Verbier is one of the most famous resorts in Europe and is a mecca for off piste riding, attracting everyone from pro atheletes to A-List celebrities! Verbier is part of the 4 Valleys ski area which includes Nendaz, Veysonnaz, La Tzoumaz, Thyon and Verbier.

We use a hand picked team of highly qualified and experienced coaches from European Snowsport to prepare you for your Level 1 ski or snowboard exam, which usually happens in Week 2 of the course. This allows you plenty of time to further develop your riding skills in time for your Level 2 exam during the final 2 weeks of the course. Included in the cost is an avalanche awareness course, a ski / board maintenance clinic and 2 day first aid course.

There's also plenty of extras that we organise including watching the local ice hockey team Red Ice, spending a night at Cabane De Mont Fort, backcountry and freestyle days

There is the opportunity of part time employment following the course, for a certain number of trainees with European Snowsport on passing your BASI Level 2 ski instructor qualification. At this stage, the job opportunity is only available for skiers.

What makes this course even better?

  • It is endorsed by BASI specifically with the aim of providing a pool of BASI instructors for employment in Switzerland with English speaking clients.
  • you may be able to work to offset some of the costs of your BASI course.

Applicants must be dedicated, intermediate and above skiers and boarders who wish to excel in their chosen sport whilst working and learning in an established snowsports school. With Peak Leaders and European Snowsport's expertise, there is no better course to prepare you for your instructor exams. We want you to feel like trainee instructors from day 1!

Testimonial

I am writing to say how much I have appreciated the care you and your colleagues took in looking after my daughter Cressida.  The time she spent in Verbier was both enjoyable and rewarding; not only did she qualify as a ski instructor but also she gained enormously in self confidence.  I cannot think of a better foundation for her university life and future career.  I do thank you.
