Peak Leaders Whistler Improver

Our 4 week course is perfect if you have limited time off work, if you would like to qualify and work in Canada in the same season or you would simply like to spend a month improving your skiing or riding. The pre-Christmas course allows you to qualify and then stay on to teach in Canada over Christmas and for the rest of the season (dependent on acquiring a work visa and job opportunities with the ski / board school). Alternatively, experience spring in Whistler on the March - April course, when the snow is still fantasic and the legendary Telus Festival is in full swing.

Alternatively, experience spring in Whistler on the April-May course, when the snow is still fantasic and the legendary Telus Festival is in full swing. After qualifying, you can head to Oz or Nz to teach for the Southern hemisphere Winter.

Whether you're on a gap year, time out or career break; whether you want to get into the ski industry or just improve your technique and have a good time, the carefully selected Peak Leaders staff are there to help you quickly improve your all mountain skiing & riding skills and help with your personal development.

Course outline...

  • Welcome talk & mountain familiarization tour 
  • Instructor level 1 preparation and video sessions
  • Coaching 5 days a week
  • Extras available include heli skiing and snowmobiling (a big Peaks' favourite) to dog sledding, ice hockey, ice fishing & snowshoeing.
  • Level 1 exam
  • End of course party
