It is used by blue chip companies such as Lloyds TSB, TESCO and HSBC.
The ILM Level 4 Award in Leadership has been designed for practicing or potential managers looking to develop an understanding of leadership skills using practical activities.

This concise qualification is made up of three mandatory units. The first unit, ‘Introduction to leadership’, explores different leadership styles and behaviours and their impact on individual and group behaviour. In the second unit candidates plan a practical leadership activity including; identifying resources, assessing risks and briefing the team and allocating roles and responsibilities. In the final unit of the qualification candidates implement their learning through leading a team through the planned, practical activity.
The Award is also of value for those people who have been employed in a leadership role for some time at the different levels and wish to underpin their practice with a clearer knowledge of the principles of leadership. You will receive one-to-one support to prepare you for the assessment in which you will carry out an evaluation of your own or another's leadership abilities and performance.

Note: On some courses, the ethics of leadership in a corporate context, are explored at level 3 and beyond.
