WELCOME TO THE MONT GELE
LIVING IN THE HEART OF VERBIER
With the season approaching we are busy getting everything ready in the Mont Gele.
Most of our trainees will be staying here – right next to the main lifts at Medran and (we believe) the only ski-in-ski-out course accommodation in Verbier.
It’s definitely the only option that allows you to ski into the Medran lifts.
But what’s it like inside?
Well here’s some more information…
THE ROOMS
We have a range of rooms in the Mont Gele.
The standard room is a triple. These are large rooms usually comprising of a bunk bed and a single bed plus tons of storage – usually that’s two chests of drawers, a large wardrobe and under-bed storage.
If you upgrade you can have a twin room with an ensuite. As numbers are limited we offer these on a first-come-first-served basis.
Then we have the option of an upgrade to a single room – there are a few options so prices vary depending on the size of the room.
Finally we have the studio – a large bunk room attached to the main chalet with your own kitchenette and tv area.
THE DINING AREA
As well as where all the amazing catering happens – with chef Mariano busy in the kitchen next door – the dining area is also where trainees can prepare snacks and packed lunches, as well as where breakfast is served.
The space doubles as a meeting room and we hold the weekly meetings here as well as some of the first aid training. Plus it’s the venue for the regular (and legendary) Peak Leaders quiz night to keep everyone entertained…
THE COMMUNAL AREAS
As well as the dining area and kitchenettes we have the two TV rooms.
These gives trainees space to socialise and relax together and decompress after a tough day on the hill.
We also use them for video feedback, informal meetings and general chats with trainees during the course.
Plus you can plug in a games console, scroll through Netflix or just switch off the technology and play one of the board games.
BUT DON’T FORGET THE LOCATION…
The Mont Gele is as close as you can get to all the action.
No long bus rides (or queues) to get to the lifts, and no long, cold walks home from Apres Ski!
The building is virtually underneath the main Medran bubble and you can ski in from the main piste and ski out and down to hop on the lift.
Which means it’s also round the corner from all the cafes, bars and restaurants.
We know a lot of companies operate instructor training courses in Verbier, but we can safely say no-one else is anywhere near as close to the heart of resort.
