Although taking a ski or snowboard instructor course is very popular with school and university leavers Peak Leaders also have a fair few people taking a career-break or career change on our courses. This winter both Paul Marsden and Greg Mayhew; Paul a Junior non-commissioned officer in the Household Cavalry and Greg an aircraft engineer in the RAF, left their jobs and decided to use the MOD resettlement programme to help them to follow their passion and become BASI qualified ski instructors.

Paul qualified in Saas Fee before the start of the winter season and ended-up working as a ski instructor for the Swiss Ski School in Verbier. Greg qualified in Verbier a couple of weeks ago so time will tell what amazing adventures he’s planning!
