GET THE BEST COACHING
FROM THE BEST COACHES
There are a load of courses where you can train as a ski instructor. So what makes Peak Leaders any different?
Well, it’s simple.
We’re committed to delivering the best coaching by recruiting the best coaches.
So you will be coached by top level instructors and even by BASI examiners.
Not only does that mean you’re getting clear, accurate feedback all the time, but you’re also always talking to experts who not only know the BASI system but also know the exam criteria inside-out.
We firmly believe it’s the best coaching team in town.
SO WHAT’S THE BASI LEVEL 4?
The BASI Level 4 is an incredibly high standard of skiing and teaching.
It’s recognised all over the world and to achieve this level means that you don’t just know how to ski at the very highest level, but you also have the highest coaching standards.
What does it mean when you train with Peak Leaders?
It means you get amazing coaching and you make massive changes – which is vital if you want to become a better skier and pass your BASI exams (as well as have more fun skiing the powder…).
AND WHAT’S A BASI TRAINER?
When you become a BASI Level 4 it’s a massive achievement – and it takes years.
But if you want to go even further you have to teach for a few years after passing the BASI 4 before you can apply for Trainer Selection.
This is where the best instructors in the system get together for a training course where a few might be chosen to run exams.
It’s very, very hard to get chosen…
Those that become Trainers not only represent the best of the coaches in the system, they also know exactly what you need to do to pass your exams – after all, these are the guys who’s other job is to run the exams.
MEET A FEW OF THE TEAM
We’ve got a great team of coaches who have been running our training for years – so they all have bags of experience.
But to give you an idea of our team we thought you’d like to meet a few of them…
Emma has been a Basi trainer for years – which is why she runs our coaching programme and is in charge of picking the coaching team.
Despite being modest by nature, you only have to read reviews from clients and trainees to realise how Emma’s experience and expertise help skiers make big changes and understand the complex movements that are essential for performance skiing.
Will is BASI Level 4 and Basi Trainer, so he’s got the perfect blend of coaching experience and technical skills.
When he’s not running training for Basi level 1 and 2 exams, he’s also our lead coach on Level 3 and 4 training – but it’s not just ski instructor training that motivates him, he’s also a keen off-piste skier and spends as much time as possible exploring the backcountry.
Jake is a BASI Level 4 and has been running Peak Leaders coaching for years – after Emma he’s probably out most experienced coach.
He’s got all the technical and teaching skills you’d expect from a Peak Leaders coach, but his boundless enthusiasm (and motivational cheering) mean he’s a firm favourite with trainees and really helps make sure everyone keeps developing and pushing towards their goals.
