VERBIER
LEGENDARY RESORT: AMAZING EXPERIENCE
VERBIER, SWITZERLAND
Verbier has a huge reputation and is an amazing place to spend the winter training as a ski instructor.
We’ve run BASI ski instructor training courses here for decades and it’s our home town. So we know resort inside out.
But we know there is competition in Verbier – so why choose our course?
Quite simply because we think it’s the best.
Why? Quite a few reasons actually. But here are the three biggest:
TOP QUALIFIED COACHES
YOU’LL LIVE IN THE HEART OF VERBIER
AMAZING SUPPORT AND MENTORING
So, if you can’t decide which course to pick, these these are the questions you should always ask any ski school about (including us!).
After all, if you’re committing to a course you want the best coaching, the best accommodation and the best results. Keep reading for more details…
A TOP QUALIFIED COACHING TEAM
Our coaching team is made up of experts.
In fact most of our coaches are also BASI examiners.
Because we don’t let anyone in front of our trainees who isn’t fully qualified with bags of BASI coaching experience – that means minimum BASI Level 4 (not a BASI 3 or someone from a different system…).
We know that the best coaches get the best results – not just passing your exams, but helping you constantly improve and have more fun on skis.
LIVING IN THE HEART OF VERBIER
We’ve always been committed to providing the best GAP course accommodation in town – and that starts with the best location.
So in Verbier Peak Leaders trainees are based by the main lifts in the Mont Gele.
It’s a ski-in, ski-out chalet right in the heart of Verbier so you’ll be right next to the lifts and closer to the nightlife (and not waiting for a bus to get to training…).

WHAT’S A SEASON IN VERBIER LIKE?
A season in Verbier is a guaranteed to be one to remember, and we have to admit we’re prejudiced – we think it might just be the best resort in the world. It has some of the very best freeride terrain in Europe, that’s why the Freeride World Tour final is in Verbier on the mighty Bec des Roses.
It’s also famous as being an amazing resort for apres ski and the massive variety of visitors – from celebrities to royals, to ski photographers and pro skiers. Verbier attracts everyone.
All of your training is run by Element Ski School, and is delivered by BASI Level 4 ISTD Instructors and BASI Trainers – who know exactly what you need to pass the exams and take your skiing to the next level.
On the course you will be on the hill for around 30 hours per week and get a huge range of coaching – performance coaching on the pistes to learning about off-piste safety, from race training in the gates to days in the backcountry with a guide, from coaching on the hill to video feedback off snow – not forgetting the freestyle training and of course the weekly fitness sessions with Jake.
We are also able to help you get a job after the course as well as the option to extend your stay if you get a job – or if you just want to stay for the whole winter.
But remember that work in Switzerland depends on work permits – so get in touch to find out more about your options.
We work closely with Les Elfes International and other ski schools in Verbier and beyond, so you can qualify then teach straight away (subject to an interview).
What’s involved?
Well, we’ve crafted this course so you get the best of both worlds – train and teach in Verbier, with plenty of time to experience Verbier’s amazing terrain, legendary atmosphere and spend your season in one of the most famous resorts in the world.
