CAN YOU STILL GET YOUR SPACE?
COURSES ARE ‘FILLING UP’. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
We’re seeing lots of very early bookings for courses. So places are being snapped up.
To keep you up to date we have started adding availability information on our website.
But does that mean you might miss out? And how many places are really left?
Here’s a bit more information so you don’t worry – but also so you don’t miss your spot…
HOW MANY GROUPS ARE THERE?
A group is maximum of eight trainees. We won’t have ten in a group like some companies. That means that (right now) we are planning the following:
The Saas Fee course:
Two groups, possibly three.
The Verbier December start:
Three groups.
The Verbier January start:
Four groups.
– 3 groups going to the BASI 1 and BASI 2 exams.
– 1 group going to the BASI 1 and Off-piste exams.
The Verbier February start:
Two groups, possibly three.
HOW DO YOU DECIDE HOW MANY GROUPS WILL RUN?
There are two big factors that limit the number of courses we run.
1. THE COACHES
The first factor is the number of coaches available.
We have an amazing coaching team – you’ve probably already read the they are all fully qualified with many of them also working as examiners.
So if we don’t have any more coaches available to run training we can’t run another group – after all, who wants to be trained by someone who isn’t fully qualified?
2. THE ACCOMMODATION
Secondly we need enough beds to cater for people.
In Saas Fee, that means how much space is there in the Park Hotel.
And in Verbier we already have the brilliant Mont Gele again, we know how many beds we have.
We might get extra accommodation but for now we haven’t confirmed anything. That means we can already see how many people can be on the courses.
So in Saas Fee your in the heart of town at the Park Hotel, and in Verbier you’re based right by the lifts in our ski-in, ski-out super chalet.
IS THERE ANY CHANCE WE WILL RUN MORE GROUPS?
Yes. But it would need a few things to change.
If coaches schedules change we might be able to add an extra coach to run another training group.
Crucially if we get a lot of self-catered trainees we might be able to increase the number of groups – it means there are more beds available in the accommodation.
Plus, if we have demand and can find the right accommodation we can sometimes add a group in alternative accommodation.
But it’s far from guaranteed.
WHAT’S THE CONCLUSION?
The truth is the guides on the site really are a pretty good indication of what we expect to happen and how many spaces are left.
If we say it’s the final group that means there are eight places – or fewer – before it’s closed.
So if you want to join us and the courses look like they’re nearly full, just get in touch…
