Verbier Ski & Snowboard Instructor Course – The Final Week
Unfortunately all good things must come to an end. Ten weeks ago a group of enthusiastic skiers and snowboarders gathered for the start of the trainee instructor programme in Verbier.
For the last two weeks they’ve been on the BASI Level 2 assessment. The conditions on the mountain could not have been any better, with fresh powder falling almost daily and the sun regularly showing his face.
Now the guys and girls have all finished their BASI level 2, and the course. Every Peak Leaders trainee has successfully qualified as a ski or snowboard instructor, almost all of them to Level 2. Congratulations to everybody for working so hard over the past few weeks.
Both the snowboard and ski groups have formed lasting friendships; the course has provided a lot of memories, and it’ll be a bit sad for the guys not to be ‘forced’ to ski and ride together every day.
Fortunately, almost everyone has decided to stay in Verbier for the rest of the season, with ten of them successfully obtaining employment as ski instructors in the second half of the season. Good times!
