Verbier Ski & Snowboard Instructor Course – Week 9

Over the past week or so we’ve seen a huge improvement in everyone’s skiing and riding.  It’s also been a lot of fun on the mountain, with some great conditions.

Hard work…….Verbier style!

By the beginning of week 9, the trainee ski and snowboard instructors were at the peak (no pun intended) of their training – everything had been building towards this moment. The skiers began putting the final touches to their piste performance.

Olly honing is carving skills.

While the snowboarders’ final training had covered everything from energetic morning warm-ups to epic powder riding:

All this training isn’t much fun…

But the time has now come for the BASI examiners to roll into town to see what our current trainee instructors are made of.  It’s not all serious faces though – the BASI examiners pride themselves on making an effort to bring as many wannabe instructors successfully through the two-week exam as possible.

The exam is one week in now, with one week to go.  Tune in next week to find out how these enthusiastic budding instructors finished up.  And find out who secures work for the rest of the season.
