The second half of IDP L1 week is now complete after a few very exciting days riding the Whistler Bike Park on a record breaking opening weekend!  For the IDP level 1 qualification the group spent most of their time learning the 6 green and 23 blue trails on the lower mountain and practicing guiding on them, with a few cheeky laps thrown in for their own enjoyment too!

This week has been all work and no play……

Opening day saw over 850 riders waiting up to an hour at times to get on the lift, which wasn’t a problem for the Peak Leaders crew who got priority access on every lap. Something not even local super pro Brandon Semenuk had access too!

It sucks to be these guys!

Sunday was a rest day so the trainees decided to embark on a truly epic round of Disc Golf with 27 holes taking about 3 ½ hours!  Top fun though and a fairly extreme way to spend an afternoon at times!

It’s all good fun until you hit a 9ft Grizzly on the head with your frisbee

All set for week two, IDP Tech 2 starts on Monday morning…
