SUMMER’S HERE, WINTER’S NEAR

Whistler is known as a MTB mecca. And this summer Whistler has up’d its game once again. New trails and new features make 2015 at Whistler look like the best yet. Check out what’s been happening from the man himself, Whistler Bike Park Manager, Brian Finestone here

Whistler bike course

What do we offer at Whistler? Well, if you’re MTB-obsessed, you’ll be in heaven. Our 3-week or 5-week courses give you the skills required to teach the basics to beginners, and jumps and drops to intermediate riders. You sit the IDP Level 1 & 2 which is geared towards gravity fed skills and guiding, and teaching you the elements for a great lesson – safety, first aid risk management, lesson planning, teaching and learning styles, and the theory of the technique. If it is a job you’re hoping to land, well, we provide the majority of new guides* each year for the Bike Park.

(*Jobs are not guaranteed and available subject to interview with the head supervisor and being in possession of a working visa for Canada.)

Argentina gap course

Argentina is like no other GAP ski/snb course. Just boarding the plane to S. America gives you that “I know it was the right choice” feeling. Our 9-week ski or snowboard instructor course in Patagonia has it all – lakeside lodge accommodation, sharing mate with the locals, epic mountains, awesome terrain, Argentine BBQs, horseback riding with gauchos, cat-skiing on a private mountain (option) and partying in Buenos Aires.

For the past 10 years we’ve been taking ski and snowboard trainees down to Argentina – so you can be sure we’ve got the best course on offer.

If you want to have a chat about either Whistler or Argentina contact us here and we’ll happily answer all your questions.
