Do I need to speak German?
Yes, you need to speak German – as the ski exam is in German. Our course is a great way to help you learn German. The coaching is delivered in English and German, and we include German lessons during the course. If you don’t speak any German yet, that’s ok too! We have organized language courses in Innsbruck, a great way to get going!
When you speak to the “men in red” – Sprechen Sie Deutsch
For anyone needing help we’ve arranged an additional language course in Innsbruck.
If you already have conversational level (from school or university) German check in with us first – chances are you’ll be fine.
What is the skiing level?
Skiing-wise, you need to be competent and happy to ski the whole mountain.
The exam you are aiming for is the Anwarter (Level 1) which has seen as many as 174 candidates line up along with the Peak Leader crew.
It can be lonely at the top!
As long as your basics are all in place the excellent Austrian ski instructors can teach you the rest.
A lot of the course focuses on what you need to teach and demonstrate.
That might mean learning a few new things, but more likely, unlearning a few bad habits.
Luckily, the Ski Schule Arlberg is one of the oldest and best in Austria.
