THE RESULTS ARE IN. SO WHERE NEXT?

FINALLY GOT YOUR RESULTS?
THEN WHAT’S YOUR NEXT MOVE?

We look at what your options are now that the results are out,
but the future still seems a bit murky…

The world is a pretty crazy place right now.

And if you’ve just got your A-Level or Scottish Higher results then things have only got weirder…

In England there is now the triple lock, which includes getting to take the exam properly when it’s safe to do so.

Whilst in Scotland you now get your predicted grade – having had the chaos of your original downgraded results being judged unfair and being revoked.

So after all that what do you do next?

SO: UNI? JOB? OR ADVENTURE?

It’s tough to decide what to do after the stress (and uncertainty) of your exam results.

We know some people will be waiting to take exams properly when it’s safe.

We know some people might be appealing their results.

And, of course, a load of people will decide going to University could be a very odd experience.

Meanwhile employment seems to be pretty tough right now – and probably not getting better any time soon.

So now could be the perfect season for an adventure.

And what better way than living in Switzerland, training as a ski instructor and getting a job teaching skiing in the mountains?

WHY NOW?

Well, we think that the world will take a while to settle down again after Covid.

It will take time for the economy, educational institutions and society at large to adapt.

And whilst it adapts we can expect a lot of chopping and changing and disruption.

So taking a Gap year doing something you love in a very cool place with a load of like-minded people seems like a pretty good option.
